Children’s feet want to explore the world – and preferably barefoot. But sometimes the floor is too cold or too rough. That’s exactly what our soft leather Children’s Slippers are for – cozy, comfortable, and perfect for playing, crawling, and learning to walk.
Our Orangenkinder® leather slippers “Waldi the Puppy” are lovingly handmade from breathable, vegetable-tanned organic leather. Whether as first crawling shoes, walking shoes, or simply to protect little toes – they give feet enough room to grow and feel almost as free as barefoot.
Especially practical: Thanks to the hand-sewn elastic band, the shoes stay securely on babies’ feet, while older children can slip in and out in a flash.
The natural leather is untreated, tested for harmful substances, and processed according to strict eco-guidelines. This makes our leather Children’s Slippers breathable, skin-friendly, and absolutely harmless – almost like a second skin, just much more colorful and cheerful.

2. measuring
Foot length: Measure the longest distance between the middle of the heel and the biggest toe.

Material
Upper material: 100% natural leather
Our natural leather is vegetable-tanned and chrome-free, making it particularly skin-friendly. It is characterized by its wonderful softness, feel, naturalness and beautiful colors.
Outsole & Insole: 100% Natural Leather
Completely uncoated and breathable. This provides a super healthy climate for little feet, i.e. they sweat little or not at all. Furthermore, our leather is naturally slip-resistant, durable, and robust.
Care instructions
To keep the natural leather of Orangenkinder® children’s shoes as durable as possible, it must be cared for so that it remains supple, soft and crack-resistant! We recommend using an ecological leather care product for this, such as Tapir – also available here in our store: here
Alternatively, you can also grease dark Orangenkinder® natural leather with commercially available olive oil from the household – let it soak in and polish with a soft cloth – your leather slippers will look like new again!
Dirty shoes:
Only brush off – do not wash, rinse, or use detergents, dish soap, etc.! Possibly wipe with a damp cloth.
Take care in wet conditions:
Dyed leather (intense colors) may bleed due to moisture/sweat.
For drying:
Stuff with newspaper to dry, without strong external heat (no radiator, etc.)
Sole:
Occasionally roughen up soles made of natural leather with a wire brush so the shoes remain slip-resistant.
