Kids’ feet want to discover the world—and preferably barefoot. But sometimes the ground is too cold or too rough. That’s exactly why we make our soft leather kids’ slippers—snuggly, comfy, and perfect for playing, crawling, and learning to walk.
Our Orangenkinder® leather slippers “Lilly the Easter Cat” are lovingly handmade from breathable, vegetable-tanned organic leather. Whether as first crawling shoes, first walkers, or simply to protect little toes—they give feet plenty of room to grow and feel almost as free as barefoot.
Especially practical: Thanks to the elastic band sewn in by hand, the shoes stay securely on babies’ feet, while older kids can slip them on and off in a flash.
The natural leather is untreated, tested for harmful substances, and processed according to strict eco standards. This makes our leather kids’ slippers breathable, skin-friendly, and completely safe—almost like a second skin, just much more colorful and cheerful.

Material
Upper: 100% natural leather
Our natural leather is vegetable-tanned and chrome-free, making it especially skin-friendly. It stands out for its wonderful softness, grip, natural feel, and gorgeous colors.
Outsole & insole: 100% natural leather
Completely uncoated and breathable. For little feet, this creates a super-healthy climate, i.e., feet sweat very little to not at all. Plus, our leather is naturally slip-resistant, durable, and robust.
Care instructions
To keep the natural leather of Orangenkinder® kids’ shoes as long-lasting as possible, it needs care so it stays supple, soft, and tear-resistant! We recommend using an eco-friendly leather care product, e.g., Tapir—also available here in our shop: here
Alternatively, you can also grease dark Orangenkinder® natural leather with regular household olive oil—let it soak in and buff with a soft cloth—then your leather slippers will look like new again!
Dirty shoes:
Just brush off—do not wash or rinse, and don’t use laundry detergent, dish soap, etc.! If needed, wipe with a damp cloth.
Caution when wet:
Dyed leathers (intense shades) may bleed color due to moisture/sweat.
For drying:
Stuff with newspaper to dry, without strong external heat (no heater, etc.).
Sole:
Roughen natural leather soles again occasionally with a wire brush so the shoes stay slip-resistant.
